Over the past year, our learning agenda branded “Your Growth” provides choice and opportunity to develop life, personal and professional skills to improve every aspect of our employee’s experience.
Here’s an overview of what we developed, implemented and the results we saw in 2022:
Your Growth Time - 10,000+ hours dedicated to learning during 2022
Every Friday afternoon is focused on ‘Your Growth’. We believe that learning needs to be prioritised so we provide all VIOOHers with a minimum of half a day per week.
Majority (98%) of VIOOHers are active on the platform and one third use it on a weekly basis.

By partnering with Learnerbly - a marketplace that provides access to books, coaches, conferences, courses, podcasts and more, we are able to provide resources aligned to individual needs. Content is built in a format that is best suited to learning at their own pace.
We developed a career framework that provides progression for both individual contributors and managers, VIOOHers can clearly align their learning plan to their long term career goals. Our internal mobility programme drives a promote from within culture, provides opportunities, improves knowledge sharing, develops the capabilities across the business and is key to retention. By the end of 2022, we saw 20% of VIOOHers get promoted!
We’re continuously investing in our employees and provide up to £3,000 as part of our learning and development fund to invest in employees gaining qualifications, skills, or cover fees for professional membership bodies.
As part of a collaborative project across teams, we rolled out DISC profiling to enable teams to understand each personality, develop empathy, and promote an inclusive and personalised approach to how we communicate, reward and motivate others that we work with.
We created ManagerLab to further develop our future generations of leaders at VIOOH. This learning series focuses on the key skills of a manager. The current cohort meet weekly to share experiences, learn from one another and put their theory into practice.

All VIOOHer programmes
At the end of last year we implemented a LMS (EdApp) to design, deliver, gamify and track on demand organisational knowledge which is essential to provide a great onboarding experience as we scale. All VIOOHers are expected to complete four compulsory courses focused on ESG topics such as gender equality to understand the impact that we can all make on driving global change.
We never stop learning! As part of a new initiative, we launched Reverse Mentoring at VIOOH. Half (50%) of our leadership team were mentored by our VIOOHers on topics such as gender, ethnicity, religion and long term disabilities. This has forged relationships across the business and also led to many of the mentors having the opportunity to share their lived experiences to drive positive changes.
As you can see, 2022 was a busy year for us! Over the past year we found that our turnover is at an all time low of 15%, our Glassdoor score has increased to 4.7 and our current average tenure is 1.8 years which is a testament that our programs are having a great impact.
